Delivery Information

To dispatch customer orders within the UK, Thanet Tool Supplies offer two separate methods of delivering the goods safely and effectively to the customer. Firstly by using Road Transport (a carrier) or secondly by Royal Mail (post).

Orders under £75.00 will automatically have a £7.50 delivery charge added **
Orders over £75.00 will be dispatched, freight paid **, by the best method available;

Road Transport service generally takes 48 hours (UK ONLY). The Royal Mail service takes approximately 2 to 3 days (UK ONLY). Both are a "signed for" service.

** Important Note regarding deliveries to the following postcodes:
IV, HS, KA27-28, KW, PA20-49, PA60-78, PH17-26, PH30-44, PH49-50, ZE, BT, IM & TR21-22
The above postcodes will incur an additional £7.50 carriage surcharge. If applicable, this surcharge will be applied at the end of your order process page.

However as the supplier (Thanet Tool Supplies) we cannot guarantee 100% delivery within the stated time.  We do hold a very high inventory, but on occasions we can fall foul of vendors not being able to supply us with our own full orders.  Should this be the case, we will contact you to discuss with you possible corrective measures.
All deliveries must be signed for upon delivery. No shipments are left without a signature, should the delivery not be possible at the customers designated delivery address, a card with local contact details will be left by the courier/post office informing the customer that by contacting the local depot a further delivery may be arranged at a more suitable time. Alternatively the customer may decide to collect the order from the local courier depot by presenting the delivery card with the relevant consignment shipping number; proof of personal identification will be required for a depot uplift.
Following a second unsuccessful delivery the goods will be held at the local depot for 5 days awaiting collect by the customer, no further deliveries will be attempted by the courier company on behalf of the supplier; failure to collect by the customer will result on the goods being returned to the supplier.
Any delivery charge shown on the customer invoice is only a contribution to the cost of shipping & packing, as stated road transport delivery requires a signature for receipt of your parcel, the customer has the choice to provide Thanet Tool Supplies with a private or third party business address where a stated contact should be in a position to sign for the delivery of your order.
The customer should make all necessary arrangements to take delivery of any shipment from the supplier, as no carriage charge will be refunded should the goods remain undelivered, following all steps being taken by the supplier to deliver. The risk for the goods supplied to the customer from the supplier passes to the customer in that the customer is responsible for loss, damage or deterioration of the goods from the time and date of the delivery.
For orders received from outside the UK, a shipping charge is implemented to the order. Goods are dispatched by an appropriate method to that particular country as chosen by Thanet Tool Supplies. You will be advised by email firstly the method of shipping and secondly any appropriate shipping information.
Please note:  Duty and any Sales Tax upon entry into your chosen country is the liability of the purchaser NOT Thanet Tool Supplies.
