12pt Bi-Hex Impact Sockets are generally used in conjunction with regular nut and bolts which have restricted access. 

Sometimes, widely available 6pt Hex Impact Sockets struggle to locate (a 1 in 6 chance to locate) whereas 12pt Bi-Hex Impact Sockets offer a 1 in 12 chance to locate.

In addition, 12pt Bi-Hex Impact Sockets also fit specialist 12pt fixings (not star or spline).

12pt Bi-Hex Impact Sockets only drive on the points of a 6pt fixing not the flats and are therefore NOT recommended for worn nuts or bolts.
