The cutting edges are virtually razor sharp and the screw feed point is equally as sharp which makes this auger bit outstanding in any natural timber
The shafts on each auger bit have been designed to fit securely in virtually any 3 jaw chuck. As the manufacturer has resisted the temptation of a hexagonal shank, these auger bits are not direct fit into impact drivers
It is worth remembering that this auger bit will pull itself through the timber at a rapid rate, so be careful and only apply the slightest of pressure to get the auger bit started then let it do its job
