The overall length of this 6mm SDS-plus masonry drill bit is 450mm long and has an effective working length of 400mm.
With SDS-plus drill bits of 450mm o/a length, it is advisable to always pre-drill the hole using a 160mm o/a length bit first. This will then eliminate any excess whip that long drill bits have, thus avoiding drill bit breakage.
